On 19 August 2026, MMU, through its Learning Institute for Empowerment (LIfE), hosted an Integrity and Leadership talk featuring Tan Sri Dr. Lim Wee Chai, Executive Chairman and Founder of Top Glove Corporation Bhd., at Dewan Tun Canselor. The session, themed “From Campus to Corporate: Character Traits Employers Value Most”, was also attended by Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, President and CEO of MMU, together with university leaders, faculty members and students.

The session provided MMU students with an opportunity to hear from Tan Sri Dr. Lim on the qualities employers look for beyond academic qualifications. Drawing from his experience in the business world, he shared his views on the importance of character, integrity, leadership and having the right attitude when entering the workforce. Students also had the opportunity to interact with Tan Sri Dr. Lim, where they raised questions and sought his views on preparing for their future careers.

The programme also saw the launch of the Integrity and Leadership Programme, a collaboration between MMU Integrity & Leadership 2026 (InL26) and Telekom Malaysia Berhad’s Group Integrity & Governance. Earlier, Nur Samira Binti Othman, Director of InL26, delivered the welcoming speech, encouraging students to gain valuable insights from Tan Sri Dr. Lim’s real-life experiences. The launch was graced by Tan Sri Dr. Lim, Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham, together with Puan Sharifa Abdul Kadar, Head of Policy & Education, Group Integrity & Governance, Telekom Malaysia Berhad. The programme aims to create greater awareness of integrity and good governance among MMU students.

In conclusion, the sharing by a prominent business leader like Tan Sri Dr. Lim gave students a broader perspective on the expectations of the corporate world and the importance of developing strong character and values as they prepare to enter the workforce.
