MMU celebrated its industry partners for their continued support and contributions to the University’s talent development initiatives during the MMU Industry Appreciation Dinner 2026, held on 21 August 2026 in Putrajaya. The event was officiated by Mr. Ahmad Taufek Omar, Chairman of the MMU Board of Directors. Also in attendance was Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, President of MMU, who shared the University’s development and strategic direction with the industry partners gathered at the event.

The event highlighted the many ways industry partners contribute to MMU’s student development, including through internships, workshops, career talks, career fairs, industry visits and participation in Cadetship Programme. These engagements provide students with valuable exposure to the workplace, enabling them to strengthen their practical skills and gain a better understanding of industry expectations.

The evening also featured the presentation of several awards to recognise the contributions of MMU’s industry partners, including the Top Student Engagement & Development Award, Top Graduate Employment Award, Most Supportive i-Cadet Partner Award and Most Supportive Professional Partner Award. The awards were presented by Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud.

Meanwhile, the Grand Industry Appreciation Award, presented in the Gold and Platinum categories, was presented by Mr. Ahmad Taufek Omar. ZTE received the Gold Award, while Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) received the Platinum Award, in recognition of their exceptional commitment, contributions and support in strengthening academia-industry collaboration and advancing MMU’s mission to nurture future-ready graduates.

Coordinated by Career Connect, the event served as a meaningful platform for MMU to express its appreciation to its industry partners and recognise their important role in supporting the University’s mission. It also reaffirmed MMU’s commitment to strengthening long-term industry partnerships that create greater opportunities for students and contribute to the development of skilled and industry-ready talent for the nation.
