MMU Secures Overall 1st Runner-Up at MASISWA Networking Games 2026

MMU achieved its best-ever result at the MASISWA Networking Games (for Staff) 2026, emerging as the Overall 1st Runner-Up at the event held in Kedah from 7 to 9 August 2026. MMU’s athletes delivered a strong performance across the competition, securing five gold medals in netball, bowling (trio), pétanque (women’s doubles), ping pong (women’s doubles) and bowling (women’s doubles), as well as two bronze medals in badminton (mixed doubles) and volleyball (women’s).

The impressive medal haul reflects the athletes’ teamwork, determination and sporting spirit as they competed alongside staff from participating institutions. Beyond the competition, the MASISWA Networking Games provided an opportunity for university staff to strengthen camaraderie, build professional networks and foster closer ties through sports. MMU’s Overall 1st Runner-Up finish marks a significant milestone for the University and highlights the commitment of its staff to representing MMU with pride both on and off the field.
