FOB Student Secures Silver Medal at Perak International TaeKwon-Do Championship 2026

Let us congratulate Andrew Tang Jia Hong, a student from the Faculty of Business (FOB), for winning the Silver Medal at the Perak International TaeKwon-Do Championship 2026 (PITC2026), held at the Institut Latihan Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia Sultan Azlan Shah (ILKKM SAS), Tanjung Rambutan, Perak in July 2026. The championship, organised by the Persatuan Taekwon-Do Negeri Perak (MTF), brought together taekwondo athletes from Malaysia and abroad.

Competing in the Black Belt division, Andrew achieved second place in the Individual Male 18–39 Years Black Belt 1st–6th Dan Sparring (69.1 kg–75 kg) category. He also secured 5th Place in the Individual Male 18–39 Years Black Belt 2nd Dan Pattern category and the Team Male 18 Years and Above Black Belt 1st–6th Dan Sparring category.

Andrew’s achievement reflects his dedication, discipline and commitment in pursuing excellence beyond the classroom. It also represents MMU’s continuous effort in encouraging students to develop their talents and excel in various areas, including sports and co-curricular activities.
