MMU Shares Micro-Credential Best Practices with UMT Delegation

On 27 July 2026, the Centre for Lifelong Learning and Educational Content Development (LEAD), Multimedia University (MMU), welcomed a delegation from Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT) for a benchmarking visit focused on Micro-Credential implementation. The four-member delegation was led by Prof. Dr. Hajah Hafiza Aishah binti Hashim, Director of UMT Life Centre, while MMU was represented by Dr. Tengku Putri Norishah, Director of LEAD. The visit aimed to facilitate knowledge sharing and explore effective approaches in advancing flexible learning and lifelong education.

During the session, MMU shared its experience in developing and implementing Micro-Credential programmes, covering key areas such as Learning Management System (LMS) management, quality assurance practices, credit transfer pathways, and learner support services. The discussion also highlighted MMU’s flexible learning ecosystem, including institutional policies, operational frameworks, and digital learning initiatives that support innovative teaching and learning practices.

The benchmarking visit concluded with a meaningful exchange of ideas and best practices between both institutions, strengthening professional engagement between MMU and UMT. The collaboration reflects the commitment of both universities in enhancing flexible learning opportunities, curriculum innovation, and digital education initiatives to better support the evolving needs of learners and the higher education landscape.
