FET Celebrates Academic Excellence and Honours Peer Tutors at Appreciation Ceremony

Demonstrating its commitment to fostering a culture of excellence and peer support, the Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FET) honoured outstanding Dean’s List achievers and dedicated Peer Tutors during the Dean’s List & Peer Tutor Appreciation Ceremony held on 18 June 2026 at the Melaka campus. The event celebrated not only academic distinction but also the spirit of collaboration and mentorship that contributes to student success within the faculty.

The ceremony recognised high-achieving students from the Foundation, Diploma, and Degree programmes who earned a place on the Dean’s List for their exceptional academic performance across Trimester 2510, 2520, and 2530. Certificates of Achievement were presented by the Dean of FET, Prof. Ir. Ts. Dr. Jerry Ng Poh Kiat, in recognition of the students’ dedication, perseverance, and unwavering commitment to academic excellence.

In addition to celebrating academic achievements, the faculty also paid tribute to its Peer Tutors, whose contributions have played an important role in enhancing the learning experience of their fellow students through academic guidance, mentoring, and knowledge sharing. The faculty honoured Ms. Kaviratna A/P Narayansamy, Mr. Adi Zaidan bin Zabidi, and Mr. Keisavanaath A/L Kannan with Certificates of Appreciation and tokens of appreciation in recognition of their commitment, leadership, and willingness to foster a collaborative learning environment. Their dedication reflects the faculty’s emphasis on nurturing a supportive community where students are empowered to grow and succeed together.

In his address, Prof. Ir. Ts. Dr. Jerry Ng Poh Kiat congratulated all award recipients on their remarkable accomplishments and encouraged them to continue striving for excellence while embracing the values of collaboration, leadership, and lifelong learning. More than a recognition platform, the event served as a meaningful celebration of achievement, service, and the collective spirit that defines the FET community.
