MMU Recognised for Entrepreneurial Excellence at AKKPT 2025

MMU was recognised as a Finalist for the Anugerah Universiti Keusahawanan Terbaik at the Anugerah Keusahawanan Kementerian Pendidikan Tinggi (AKKPT) 2025, marking the university’s fourth appearance as a finalist at the prestigious award ceremony held at the Hilton Hotel, Kuala Lumpur on 15 May 2026. The recognition reflects MMU’s continuous commitment towards strengthening a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem through mentorship, industry collaboration, startup development, and experiential learning initiatives spearheaded by the Entrepreneurship Development Centre (EDC).

MMU also celebrated the achievements of its student and graduate entrepreneurs at the national level. Jom Study, led by Ong Yong Xun, emerged as the 2nd Runner-Up in the Pemula Graduan Terbaik category and received RM10,000 in prize winnings. Meanwhile, Danizad Enterprise by Daniel Iqhbal Rohaizad and Qopi Cart by Danish Imran Abdul Nasir were recognised as finalists in the Perusahaan Pelajar Terbaik category, while Tech Verse by Teoh Sing Jian and Nurzafirah Syazana Mohd Zalizam was recognised under the Syarikat Pemula Graduan Terbaik category. These recognitions reflect the creativity, resilience, and entrepreneurial spirit of the MMU community, further strengthening the university’s aspiration to nurture future-ready innovators and changemakers.
