As part of its continuous effort to nurture well-rounded graduates, the Learning Institute for Empowerment (LIfE), hosted an engaging session titled “Character in the Spotlight: Building a Reputation That Lasts”, featuring renowned Malaysian entertainer Datuk Aznil Haji Nawawi as the guest speaker at the Dewan Tun Canselor, Cyberjaya campus on 6 May 2026.

The session was also graced by the presence of Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, MMU President and Chief Executive Officer alongside Prof. Ir. Dr. Zulfadzli Yusoff, Vice President of Student Experience and Entrepreneurship Development, Dr. Ong Sue Lyn, LIfE Director, as well as faculty members.

In his sharing, Datuk Aznil, fondly known as Pak Nil, drew from his extensive experience in the entertainment industry as a television host, radio announcer, actor, and emcee. He emphasised the importance of strong personal character, highlighting values such as discipline, adaptability, humility, and authenticity as key foundations in building a meaningful and lasting career.

The session highlighted how character building is shaped through diverse experiences such as sports, performing arts, uniformed bodies, and community service. It also underscored the importance of resilience, teamwork, and leadership in shaping individuals who can contribute meaningfully to society.

All in all, the session offered students meaningful insights into how strong character, resilience, and authenticity can shape personal growth and long-term success, while also reflecting the university’s commitment to holistic education that goes beyond academic excellence to include character development and personal growth.
