As part of ongoing efforts to strengthen global engagement and collaboration, the International Collaboration and Engagement (ICE) unit coordinated two academic visits in April 2026.

On 6 April 2026, a delegation from Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU), led by Prof. Wei Chen, visited the Cyberjaya campus. This was followed by a visit from the University of Science and Technology Beijing (USTB) on 9 April 2026, headed by Prof. Pan Danguang.

Both visits focused on exploring potential areas of collaboration between the institutions. Discussions covered postgraduate admissions, joint training programmes, talent development, and research opportunities. The sessions also allowed both sides to exchange ideas and look into possible directions for future collaboration.

The visits were hosted by Prof. Ooi Chee Pun, Dean of the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence and Engineering (FAIE), who shared MMU’s strengths and initiatives in engineering and technology. The sessions were supported by the ICE unit, represented by Dr. Thong Li Wah, reflecting its role in facilitating international engagements.

These visits are part of MMU’s ongoing efforts to expand its international network and create more opportunities for academic and research collaboration.
