On 8 April 2026, Multimedia University (MMU) and Universitas Lembah Dempo (UNILED) formalised their partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and a Student Exchange Agreement (SEA) at the Cyberjaya campus. The agreements were signed by Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, President of MMU, and Dr. Elvera, Rector of UNILED.
In his speech, Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham warmly welcomed the UNILED delegation to the campus and emphasised that the partnership reflects both institutions’ commitment to nurturing skilled graduates ready to meet the demands of the future workforce.
The collaboration opens up a wide range of opportunities, including student and staff mobility, joint academic and cultural activities, and initiatives that allow students to learn from one another. These experiences are designed to broaden perspectives, foster meaningful connections beyond the classroom, and enhance global awareness among students.
On top of that, students from both universities will have the opportunity to engage in cross-cultural learning experiences, academic enrichment, and personal development. Currently, MMU is hosting 40 participants from UNILED as part of a cultural mobility programme. Initiatives like this are essential in shaping graduates who are not only competent in their respective fields but also culturally agile and globally aware.
This collaboration will generate meaningful and sustainable opportunities for both students and staff, strengthening international ties and promoting academic excellence. Also present during the ceremony were Prof. Ir. Dr. Zulfadzli Yusoff, Vice President of Student Experience and Entrepreneurship Development, Dr. Sy. Nurleyana Wafa Binti Sy. Naguib Wafa, Director of International Collaboration and Engagement and other MMU officers.
