On 20 April 2026, the Faculty of Management (FOM) hosted an Industry Learning Programme (ILP) session that brought together students from the Bachelor of Digital Enterprise Management (BDEM), Bachelor of Finance (BOF), and Bachelor of Business Management (B.B.MGT) programmes.

The session featured Mr. Nicholas Yeap, a Permata Dunia alumnus with over two decades of experience in digital entrepreneurship. In his sharing titled “Entrepreneurial Skills in the IT and Data Industry”, Mr. Yeap drew from his professional journey to provide students with grounded insights into navigating today’s rapidly evolving, technology-driven landscape, particularly with the increasing role of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Rather than focusing solely on theory, Mr. Yeap highlighted the importance of building practical experience alongside academic studies. He encouraged students to take initiative in developing industry-relevant projects that can strengthen their portfolios and improve employability. He also shared practical guidance on how students can begin exploring entrepreneurial pathways early, stressing adaptability, curiosity, and continuous learning as key success factors.

The session was further enriched during the interactive Q&A segment, where students engaged actively by asking questions on career development, industry expectations, and opportunities within the digital and entrepreneurial space. The discussion provided valuable clarity on potential directions students may pursue after graduation.

The ILP session was coordinated by FOM lecturers Dr. Muhammad Afif Fathullah, Mr. Alvis Chan Man Seong, Ms. Fatin Zaida Zaidi, Ms. Sharifah Ummu Naqiah Syed Shukran, Ms. Nurul Atiah Mohd Zain, and Ms. Intan Adhani.
