Empowering Future Talent Through Industry Engagement in Tech and AI

On 1 April 2026, a group of students participated in the Tech & AI Career Expo: Kuala Lumpur 2026. Facilitated by Career Connect, the students explored over 30 tech ecosystem booths offering more than 500 employment opportunities across various roles.

Organised by DayOne Data Centers Limited, with the support of the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA), Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), PERKESO, and TalentCorp, the expo aimed to bridge the gap between Malaysian university students and the workforce by fostering connections with industry players, particularly in the technology and AI sectors.

The participants were welcomed by Ms. Jamie Khoo, Chief Executive Officer of DayOne Data Centers Limited, who highlighted how rapid technological advancements are creating new job opportunities. Throughout the event, students had the opportunity to engage directly with company representatives, gaining valuable insights and learning about the skills required from industry experts.
