MMU Cyberjaya Iftar Perdana Fosters Community Spirit

The annual Majlis Iftar Perdana was held at Surau Al-Hidayah, Cyberjaya campus on 5 March 2026, bringing together staff, students, corporate partners, and members of the community for a meaningful Ramadan gathering.

The event began with the preparation of Bubur Berlauk MMU, reflecting the spirit of gotong-royong and generosity that defines the holy month. The activity was led by MMU President, Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, and the bubur was later distributed to the community, spreading warmth and goodwill ahead of the evening’s iftar.

The iftar programme featured the presentation of zakat contributions by Etiqa Takaful, as well as support for asnaf recipients through Yayasan WIBA Prima and YUM. Attendees also benefited from a Ramadan tazkirah delivered by Dr. Syed Shahridzan Syed Mohamed, Senior Lecturer from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), who shared reflections on compassion, gratitude, and unity during the holy month.

Another highlight of the evening was the ‘Food Bank’ initiative by Yayasan WIBA Prima, aimed at providing ongoing support to members of the university community in need. The event concluded on a warm and harmonious note, reinforcing ukhuwah and the university’s commitment to community engagement and social responsibility.
