Melaka Community Comes Together for MMU Iftar Perdana 2026 to Celebrate Ramadan and Share in the Spirit of Giving

The 2026 Iftar Perdana celebrations continued in Melaka, bringing together students, staff, and the community for an evening of reflection, sharing, and Ramadan festivities on 11 March 2026. The event was jointly organised by BAKIT-MMU, Human Capital Management (HCM), Student Lifestyle & Experience (STyLE), Yayasan Universiti Multimedia (YUM), MESRA Club, MMU Volunteers, and Masjid Al-Irsyad, demonstrating MMU’s ongoing commitment to community engagement and social responsibility.

The evening began with the preparation of Bubur Berlauk MMU (BBMMU), which was distributed to staff, students, and the wider university community. Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, President of MMU together with Prof. Dr. Hishamuddin Ismail, Director of Melaka campus presented the Hari Raya assistance from Yayasan Universiti Multimedia (YUM) to asnaf recipients during the event.  A Ramadan tazkirah was also delivered by Al-Fadhil Ustaz Syed Mohd Aizuddin Tuan Sembak, offering spiritual guidance during the final days of the holy month.

The event concluded with a communal breaking of fast at Dataran Permata, followed by Maghrib prayers in congregation. The organiser expressed its gratitude to all participants, partners, and volunteers for their contributions, hoping that the event will be remembered as a meaningful and blessed gathering, while reaffirming its commitment to nurturing unity, compassion, and community spirit among students and staff.
