An Industry Handshake Programme was conducted by the Faculty of Business (FOB) under the Recruitment and Selection subject, providing BBA Human Resource (HR) students with valuable exposure to real-life industry practices recently. The programme was coordinated by Ms. Cheah Yeh Ying in strategic collaboration with CP Elites Security & Consultations, a company that offers a wide range of manpower and technical security solutions.

Through this programme, students worked directly on actual recruitment and selection challenges faced by CP Elites, allowing them to apply academic concepts in a practical and industry-relevant context. The learning experience culminated in professional presentations, where students confidently presented their analyses and recommendations to CP Elites’ Human Resource Manager, Ms. Nur Rul Nusrah Najihah, and received constructive feedback from an industry practitioner.

The hands-on collaboration provided students with meaningful industry exposure while strengthening their critical thinking, problem-solving, and professional communication skills. At the same time, CP Elites benefited from fresh perspectives and actionable insights, reflecting the mutual value of strong university–industry partnerships in developing future-ready graduates. All in all, this programme not only enhanced students’ practical skills but also inspired them to approach future workplace challenges with confidence and professionalism.
