
MMU student-athletes who recently represented Malaysia at the Southeast Asian (SEA) Games Thailand 2025 were welcomed to a Meet and Greet session with MMU President, Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, at the Cyberjaya campus on 8 January 2026.
The session brought together students who made the University proud through their achievements on the regional stage. Among them was Alang Ariff Aqil Muhammad Ghazalli from the Faculty of Creative Multimedia (FCM), who secured a gold medal with his teammates in the Archery Compound Men’s Team event.
Also present was Ariana Nur Dania Mohamad Zairi from the Faculty of Management (FOM), who contributed two silver medals to Malaysia’s campaign in the Archery Recurve Women’s Team and Recurve Mixed Team categories.
Adding to the list of achievements, Aisya Eleesa Erni Firdauz, also from FCM, represented Malaysia in cricket and returned home with two medals, a silver in Women’s Cricket (T20) and a bronze in Women’s Cricket (T10). Also attending the session were Chua Jia Tien from the Faculty of Law (FOL) and Ruveshwaran Balachandran from FOM.
Adam Yoong Hanifah (FOM) contributed to Malaysia’s medal tally by winning a silver medal in the Slalom Team event. Meanwhile, Aiden Yoong Hanifah (FCM) secured two medals: a silver in the Slalom team and a bronze in the Wakesurf team at the SEA Games in Thailand. They were unable to attend the session.
The session provided a meaningful opportunity for the student-athletes to share their experiences, challenges, and memorable moments from the Games, while receiving words of encouragement and appreciation from the University leadership. Also attending the session were Prof. Ir. Dr. Zulfadzli Yusoff, Vice President of Student Experience and Entrepreneurship Development (SEED), Puan Sri Kusumawati Mohd Daud, Director of Student Lifestyle and Experience (STyLE), faculty representatives and other MMU officers.
