On 14 January 2026, the Integrity and Leadership 2025 (InL25) group from MMU Cyberjaya visited MACC Putrajaya and had the chance to meet Tan Sri Azam Baki, Chief Commissioner of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC). The group was led by Mr. Muhammad Faiz bin Mohd Shukran, InL25 Director, along with lecturers Ms. Zakiah Binti Manjanib @ Munjanib and Mr. Afizal @ Mohd Afizal bin Mohd Aris, both from the Learning Institute for Empowerment (LiFE). Ms. Zakiah also served as Chairperson of InL25. The visit gave students a fresh perspective on leadership and integrity.

The highlight of the day was a private, informal session with Tan Sri Azam Baki. He shared his personal background, hobbies, and career journey, encouraging students to work hard and think critically. During an interactive dialogue, he answered questions on corruption, law enforcement challenges, and how young people can contribute to the national anti-corruption agenda. He emphasised that leaders should let go of outdated mindsets, embrace modern trends and digital-first thinking, and always uphold professionalism. The visit included a tour of the Chief’s Office, giving students a closer look at leadership in practice.

After the session with Tan Sri, the students received a career briefing opportunity at MACC. They then walked across the iconic bridge that reflects the commission’s architectural excellence. Students explored the gallery, which showcased MACC’s history, from early uniforms and historic buildings to displays of jail attire. They also visited MACC.fm, the commission’s digital outreach platform, where students interacted with DJs and learned how broadcasts encourage a culture of integrity nationwide, showing the important role of media in ethical education.

Through this engagement, students gained valuable hands-on leadership experience. Observing ethical decision-making and integrity in action provided practical insights and inspiration, helping them grow into responsible, adaptable, and effective future leaders.
