

The Faculty of Business (FOB) recently hosted Prof. Dr. Chandrakantan Subramaniam from the UUM College of Business, External Examiner for the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Human Resource Management (HRM) programme, for an academic review visit in December 2025. The visit provided an opportunity to evaluate the programme’s curriculum, faculty expertise, and teaching resources, while benchmarking it against current industry practices and workforce trends.
During the visit, Prof. Dr. Chandrakantan held interactive sessions with faculty members and students to discuss programme delivery, learning outcomes, and the overall student experience. The visit concluded with an exit meeting where he shared constructive feedback and recommendations to further strengthen the programme and ensure its alignment with academic and industry expectations.
In conjunction with the visit, Prof. Dr. Chandrakantan delivered an industrial talk titled “Shaping Future Talent Through Industrial Collaborations and Knowledge Transfer”, focusing on developing future-ready talent and addressing emerging industry needs. Students engaged actively in the session, which included real-world examples, a Q&A, and a token of appreciation for the speaker. Prof. Dr. Chandrakantan is a Professor of Human Resource Management at UUM and Director of the Centre for University-Industry Collaboration, with extensive research and teaching experience in HRM, occupational safety, and emergency response management.
