Enhancing Academia–Industry Engagement with Maybank Partners Connect

On 27 January 2026, academic members from the Faculty of Management (FOM), Dr. Abby Ashraff Saprudin and Dr. Mohd Fairuz Rahim, together with Ms. Fatin Zaida Zaidi, who also serves as the iCadet Managing Officer, and Career Connect representatives Dr. Sin Yew Keong and Mr. Albert Quek, participated in the Maybank Partners Connect session held at Menara Maybank, Kuala Lumpur.

The session was attended by Ms. Mazhatulshima Mohd Zahid, Group Chief Human Capital Officer of Maybank, along with representatives from other universities, creating a platform for networking and the exchange of views across institutions.

Discussions focused on the Maybank #Mbassadors x MMU iCadet initiative, with attention given to strengthening the student ambassador programme, increasing student engagement, and identifying areas for further collaboration between Maybank and MMU. The session also allowed participants to share insights on industry trends, experiential learning initiatives, and potential partnerships aimed at supporting students’ professional development and employability.
