Engaging Students with Experienced Film Industry Practitioners

A special film screening and sharing session featuring director Badrul Hisham Ismail, alongside cast members Sofia Jane, Susan Lankester, and Roslan Madun, was held on 20 January 2026 at the Cyberjaya campus.

The panel shared insights into the filmmaking process, on-set collaboration, and the interpretive work involved in bringing characters to life on screen. Following the screening, the discussion explored topics ranging from directorial vision and actor–director relationships to performance choices and professional experiences within the Malaysian film industry. An interactive Q&A session allowed students to engage openly with the panel, fostering meaningful dialogue and practical learning beyond the classroom.

Coordinated by the Faculty of Cinematic Arts (FCA), the session bridged academic learning with industry exposure, providing students with first-hand perspectives from established professionals. Strong student participation underscored the value of such sessions in nurturing critical thinking, creative awareness, and professional readiness.
