Thirty Bachelor of Marketing students from the Faculty of Management (FOM) visited a leading fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) facility in Seremban as part of an applied learning programme led by Dr. Junainah Mahdee, Assistant Professor on 13 January 2026.
The visit integrated two Marketing subjects, Sales and Professional Business Marketing and Services Marketing and provided students with a first-hand look at how theoretical concepts are applied in a professional business environment.
During the session, students observed marketing operations, including sales strategies, distributor relationship management, branding, ethical marketing, customer engagement, and service quality management. They also reflected on the role of professionalism in sales, integrated marketing communications, and customer relationship management, connecting classroom theory to practical business applications.
The industry visit helps students develop critical thinking, professional skills, and a deeper understanding of marketing operations, preparing them to become industry-ready graduates. It also demonstrates the value of linking academic knowledge with real-world exposure to enhance students’ learning experience.
