FCA Lecturer’s Artwork Selected for ILHAM Art Show 2025

We are pleased to share that Ts. Anwar Suhaimi, lecturer from the Faculty of Cinematic Arts (FCA), has been selected to showcase his work at the ILHAM Art Show 2025, one of Malaysia’s leading open-call exhibitions for contemporary art from November until 5 April 2026 in Kuala Lumpur.

The biennial exhibition, organised by ILHAM Gallery, highlights original works by Malaysian and Malaysia-based artists, providing an important platform for creative experimentation and new artistic voices. It features a wide range of contemporary practices, including installation, film, painting, mixed media, and new media. Artists are chosen through an open call and a regional jury process, making the selection highly competitive and a significant recognition within the arts community.

From hundreds of entries, Ts. Anwar is among 20 artists and collectives selected for this edition, an achievement that underscores his contribution to Malaysia’s creative landscape and his ongoing exploration of new artistic approaches.
