On 14 December 2025, a group of Diploma students from the Faculty of Business (FOB) took part in a volunteering service programme at Zoo Melaka as part of their Sustainable Society subject project, under the guidance of Mdm Norainy Binti Abdul Razak. The programme was designed to expose students to sustainability practices while fostering awareness of animal welfare and social responsibility.

During the programme, students were divided into several groups and assigned specific tasks. These included cleaning animal enclosures, clearing rubbish around the cage areas, and preparing and delivering food for the animals. All activities were conducted under proper supervision to ensure safety and smooth execution.

The hands-on experience allowed students to gain a better understanding of animal living conditions and the importance of maintaining a clean and sustainable environment. It also encouraged the development of teamwork, responsibility, and practical skills, while reinforcing sustainability concepts discussed in class.

Overall, the volunteering service programme at Zoo Melaka provided a meaningful learning experience. It offered students valuable real-world exposure to sustainable practices while contributing positively to the local community.
