Over 3,000 students attended ESG Talk@MMU, where YB Dato’ Sri Azalina Othman Said, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Law and Institutional Reform), delivered an engaging session titled “Transparency Plus Accountability for a Better Nation” on 12 November 2025 at Dewan Tun Canselor.

Organised by the Learning Institute for Empowerment (LIfE), the event was also graced by Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, MMU President, Prof. Ir. Dr. Zulfadzli Yusoff, Vice President of Student Experience and Entrepreneurship Development, Dr. Ong Sue Lyn, Director of LIfE, MMU Management Committee Members, and other faculty members.

In her talk, YB Dato’ Sri Azalina underscored the importance of transparency and accountability in leadership and nation-building. She urged students to embody these values in their studies, future careers, and daily lives, emphasising that ethical governance fosters trust, promotes fairness, and empowers citizens to create meaningful change.

The Minister also engaged the audience in a lively Q&A session, giving students the opportunity to interact directly with her and gain valuable insights. The event reaffirmed MMU’s commitment to nurturing socially responsible, ethical, and forward-thinking leaders who can make a positive impact on Malaysia’s future.
