We are pleased to highlight the achievement of Dr. Navaneethan C. Arjuman from the Faculty of Computing and Informatics (FCI), who received recognition at the Next-Generation Network Pioneer City Case Study Certificate Awarding Ceremony held in Shenzhen, China on 8 November 2025.
Dr. Navaneethan represented his research team in receiving the award for their project titled “IPv6-native Net 5.5 Secure Campus Network for Future-Ready Smart Campus Project.” The award was presented during the 3rd Network Innovation Development Summit at the Consumer Electronics Innovation Conference (CEIC) 2025. The project was acknowledged by the Network Innovation and Development Alliance (NIDA) for its innovative approach in developing a fully IPv6-only, AI-enabled network that serves as a testbed for future digital ecosystems.
This recognition highlights MMU’s role in advancing next-generation network technologies and reflects the university’s growing visibility in global research collaborations. It further aligns with Malaysia’s digital transformation agenda.
As an IPv6-native micro-city initiative, the Net 5.5 project has the potential to shape Malaysia’s digital infrastructure strategy and contribute to the development of a secure, intelligent, and fully IPv6-enabled digital ecosystem in the Asia-Pacific region.
Congratulations, Dr. Nava and team!
