A total of 150 students from the Faculty of Management (FOM) participated in an insightful industry engagement session held at CNMX1005 under the Industry Learning Partners (ILP) initiative on 21 November 2025. The session was organised by FOM lecturers namely Ms. Fatin Zaida Zaidi, Ms. Sharifah Ummu Naqiah Syed Shukran, and Ms. Nurul Atiah Mohd Zain in collaboration with Career Connect, led by Ms. Nor Iznani Mohamed and her team.

The session was delivered by Mr. Zul Emran Yaakob, Director at Ingredion, who shared his extensive experience on “Organisational Change and Innovation Management”. The speaker provided students with practical perspectives on how organisations navigate change, manage structure, and maintain efficiency. He highlighted key concepts such as span of control, organisational design, and dynamics within multinational corporations and shared services environments.

Interactive group activities enabled students to discuss real organisational scenarios and present their insights. These activities encouraged teamwork, critical thinking, and the application of theoretical knowledge to real-world business challenges.

Many students found the session meaningful and eye-opening, gaining a deeper understanding of how large organisations manage change and drive innovation in today’s fast-evolving landscape. The initiative helps students gain useful industry exposure alongside their academic learning.
