Let us extend our heartiest congratulations to two outstanding teams from MMU for their remarkable achievement at the CRE8Fund Competition, where they each secured RM5,000 in funding along with exclusive support and mentorship from Selangor Creative Entrepreneurs. The award ceremony took place during the Selangor Creative Economy Expo (SCEE) 2025, held at MBSA Convention Centre on 24 September 2025.
The first winning team, InWoven Studio, impressed the judges with their project “EduTruck”, a mobile innovation designed to deliver new technology and digital learning opportunities to rural communities. The team, represented by Muhammad Faris Fiqran Mohamad, Shahd Ashraf, and Lim Wei Ying, showcased how creativity can drive real social impact.
Equally inspiring was the second MMU team, Vivid Verse, with their project “PolyWarisan”, a 3D cultural archive that preserves and celebrates Malaysia’s rich heritage through immersive digital experiences. The team members, Haris Zaid and Nur Aina Zayani Yusaini, brought forward a fresh perspective on how technology can sustain and reimagine cultural identity.
This year’s expo highlighted six key drivers of the creative economy namely talent development, market access, financing, infrastructure readiness, digital empowerment, and good governance under the theme ‘Re:Imagine Selangor — Creativity is the New Economy.’
Well done!
