Two student teams from MMU, City Fix and Flow, have been selected as finalists in the Convergence Innovation Competition (CIC) Asia 2025, organised by the Georgia Institute of Technology, which was announced on 3 October 2025.
City Fix, led by Ng Jia Hong from the Faculty of Computing and Informatics (FCI), developed a mobile and web platform that allows citizens to report and track municipal issues in real time using GPS and photos. Meanwhile, Flow, formed by Ava Jeslina, Abigail Siew Kar Yan, Ashley Shakyna, and Geneve Tsen Fan Qin from the Faculty of Creative Multimedia (FCM), created smart vending machines that dispense biodegradable sanitary pads, promoting accessibility and sustainability.
Both MMU teams are among five finalists who will compete in the CIC Asia 2025 final round on 1 December 2025 in Kuala Lumpur.
Congratulations and all the best!
