Jayden’s Story Board Game, a project by Mr. Vincent Chan from the Faculty of Business (FOB) and the Centre of Excellence (COE) for Business Innovation and Communication, supported by the Technology Transfer Office (TTO), took centre stage at the Malaysian Commercialisation Year (MCY) 2025 Due Diligence Session in front of a distinguished panel of experts at Palm Garden Hotel, Putrajaya on 29 October 2025.
Organised under the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI), the session serves as a key gateway for identifying high-potential innovations ready for large-scale commercialisation. The evaluation focused not only on the project’s technology readiness but also on its social readiness and market viability as an edutainment product that nurtures creativity and communication skills among children.
Pn. Rossuriana Hamzah from MRANTI (Malaysian Research Accelerator for Technology and Innovation) chaired the session, with the panel comprising representatives from key innovation and commercialisation agencies, including Dr. Wan Raihana Wan Aasim (MTDC), Pn. Dalena Zulkifli (Cradle Fund), En. Mohd Radhi Ahmad (MyIPO), En. Kamarulzaman Kamaruddin (SIRIM Berhad), En. Ismail Rosdi (MRM), and Ts. Harizah Hashim (MARii).
The outcome of this two-day Due Diligence session will determine the intervention and support packages from MOSTI and its strategic partners, paving the way for the project’s commercial rollout under the MCY 2025 initiative, which offers a total cash prize value of RM1 million.
MMU celebrates this remarkable milestone as Jayden’s Story Board Game successfully advanced to the prestigious MCY 2025 Due Diligence stage, which is a recognition reserved for shortlisted innovations with strong commercial potential. This achievement reflects MMU’s dedication to nurturing innovators like Mr. Vincent Chan, whose passion and perseverance continue to drive impactful, community-focused solutions from research to real-world application.
Well done!
