A group of students participated in an educational visit to the Lembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri (LHDN) Headquarters in Cyberjaya recently. The visit, held under the Program Sahabat Hasil initiative, was joined by Mdm. Hazlaili Hashim, Head of the Business, Economics & Finance Department, and Mdm. Siti Zarifah Amir, lecturer in taxation. It was aimed at giving students a closer look at Malaysia’s taxation system, especially on individual tax responsibilities and the role of LHDN.

The group was welcomed by Tuan Shahrul Niza bin Bishahrin, Director of the Tax Education Division, and Encik Masrun bin Maslim, Public Relations Officer, together with their team. Students attended a session titled “Kenali HASiL & Tanggungjawab Percukaian Individu” before taking part in quizzes, visiting the Galeri HASiL, and joining interactive discussions with LHDN officers. These activities allowed them to better understand how the agency contributes to national development.

Overall, the visit was well-received as students walked away with a clearer picture of tax compliance, civic duty, and possible career paths in taxation. It also gave them the opportunity to connect directly with professionals in the field while strengthening ties between MMU and LHDN for future collaboration.
