FCA Bridges Youth and Society through Media and Dialogue

On 11 September 2025, the Faculty of Cinematic Arts (FCA), in collaboration with Astro Shaw, hosted a special screening and dialogue session with the production team of Generasi: Perfect 10 by Astro Originals at MMU Cinema.

The event featured Director Sling Ng and Showrunner Nas Addina, who were joined by cast members Arena Wan (Ezie), Aila Azizul (Imann), Ellyza Azizi (Amal), and Daniel Fong (Jun). Together, they shared behind-the-scenes insights into the making of the series.

Discussions explored themes that reflect the realities of today’s youth, such as creative challenges, mental health, social relevance, and the influence of Gen Z storytelling. The session also highlighted how media can act as a bridge between young people and wider social conversations.

MMU students actively engaged with the panel, asking bold and thought-provoking questions that prompted candid responses. The dialogue underscored the importance of amplifying youth voices in the creative industry while addressing issues that resonate deeply with the younger generation.
