Around 70 participants, including schoolchildren and their parents from Pangsapuri Enggang, Bandar Kinrara, Puchong, took part in a workshop titled “Cyber Awareness 101”, held on 21 September 2025. The programme was part of the Knowledge Transfer Programme (KTP) initiative and was organised through a collaboration between the Faculty of Creative Multimedia (FCM) and the Faculty of Management (FOM). It was led by Ts. Muhammad Tamim Faruq Khairul’ Azmi, together with Dr. Tenku Putri Norishah Binti Tenku Shariman (FCM), Dr. Elyna Binti Amir Sharji (FCM), and Ms. Hamsatulazura Binti Hamzah (FOM).

Throughout the session, participants were introduced to the different forms of cyber bullying. Teenagers gained valuable knowledge on how to recognise, avoid, and prevent involvement either as victims or perpetrators, while parents were guided on how to understand, identify, and respond effectively to cases of cyber bullying involving their children. The workshop also outlined clear steps for reporting and handling incidents, in addition to raising awareness of narcissistic behaviours that can contribute to a culture of bullying.

All in all, the session offered guidance to teenagers and parents on navigating the digital world more safely, while helping the community build awareness and resilience against online challenges.
