Three FCM Short Films Make Their Mark at MAFF 2025

We are delighted to announce that three animated short films from the Faculty of Creative Multimedia (FCM) have been selected for screening at the Malaysia Animation Film Festival (MAFF) 2025 this coming September. The films, Abah by Impasta, Last Toy Standing by Toybox Studio, and Last Call by Amirul Iqram Ramli, are among the works featured at the festival, reflecting the depth of creativity and technical expertise nurtured within MMU’s animation programmes.

MAFF 2025, organised by the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) in collaboration with GSC Malaysia, serves as a national platform to celebrate outstanding works in animation while providing young creators with the opportunity to showcase their talents on the big screen. This achievement reflects MMU’s commitment to nurturing industry-ready graduates who make meaningful contributions to Malaysia’s creative sector.
