On 19 August 2025, the Faculty of Management (FOM) hosted a delegation from Kanagawa University, Japan, for a day dedicated to academic exchange and cultural engagement. This meaningful event was made possible through the support and collaborative efforts of the MMU International Collaboration and Engagement (ICE) team, led by Dr. Sy. Nurleyana Wafa Binti Sy. Naguib Wafa.

The visit commenced with a warm welcome address by Dr. Hasni Mohd Hanafi, Deputy Dean of Academic and Innovative Learning, followed by a keynote speech delivered by Prof. Dr. Seiki Yukimoto from Kanagawa University. The Director of ICE then introduced MMU’s international initiatives, highlighting the university’s commitment to fostering global partnerships and cross-border academic collaboration.

The programme also featured a talk by Dr. Low Jing Hong on the Malaysian business environment, offering valuable insights into local industry practices. Students from Kanagawa University presented their projects and engaged in interactive sessions with MMU students, promoting mutual learning and the exchange of ideas.

A special segment was dedicated to cross-cultural presentations, where students from both institutions shared perspectives on Malaysian and Japanese business etiquette, emphasizing the importance of cultural sensitivity in international business contexts. The visit concluded successfully, fostering meaningful connections and strengthening MMU’s ongoing commitment to global academic collaboration.
