MMU in partnership with Huawei Malaysia, hosted the Huawei Connected Campus 2025 at the Multipurpose Hall, Cyberjaya campus. The event was officiated by MMU President, Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, and featured a welcoming address by Mr. Zac Chow, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Huawei Malaysia Carrier Business, who shared insights on Huawei’s role in driving industry growth and nurturing future talent.

The one-day programme served as a platform for MMU students to gain practical exposure and industry insights through career talks, interactive sessions, and engagement with professionals. It underscored the strong collaboration between academia and industry in preparing students for the demands of the digital economy.

A highlight of the event was the introduction of the Huawei Cadet Students programme, part of MMU’s Industry Cadetship initiative. The programme aims to groom students into industry-ready graduates by providing direct exposure to Huawei’s operations in areas such as communications networks, IT, smart devices, cloud services, intelligent automotive solutions, and digital power.

Students also gained opportunities to explore career pathways, participate in resume reviews and interview sessions, and connect with industry experts. The initiative was coordinated by Career Connect, further strengthening MMU’s engagement with industry partners. All in all, the programme not only broadened career horizons but also empowered MMU students to step into the future as industry-ready graduates.
