Andrew Tang Jia Hong, a student-athlete from the Faculty of Business (FOB) secured the champion title in the Individual Male 18–39 years Black Belt Pattern (2nd Dan) category at the Perak Tourism International Taekwon Do Championship 2025 (PTITC 2025), recently. The event was held at the Arena Badminton, Ipoh, Perak, and organised by the Persatuan Taekwon Do Negeri Perak (MITF), attracting around 1,200 participants from 13 countries.

In a highly competitive field, Andrew demonstrated remarkable skill, discipline, and precision in the Black Belt Pattern segment. His performance reflected not only his natural talent but also the dedication and perseverance he maintains as both a martial artist and a business student at MMU.

Andrew’s victory embodies the balance between athletic excellence and academic commitment that MMU nurtures in its students. His success brings pride to the university and serves as an inspiring example of what our student community can achieve.
