The Al-Irsyad Islamic Centre (AIIC) successfully held its second edition of the Women’s Talk Series titled “Darah Wanita & Implikasi Terhadap Solat” at the Melaka campus on 28 July 2025. The talk was delivered by Ustazah Hajah Azian binti Talib, a renowned speaker and pilgrimage guide with Lembaga Tabung Haji.
The session aimed to provide greater clarity on issues related to women’s menstruation (haid) and abnormal bleeding (istihadhah), and their implications on acts of worship such as solat and fasting. The participants were exposed to the key differences between haid and istihadhah, highlighting the religious rulings and practical steps for women to manage their daily ibadah during these periods. The session was enriched with real-life case studies and references to Islamic fatwas, ensuring attendees received practical and authentic knowledge.
The programme began with welcoming remarks from an AIIC representative and ended on a warm note with the distribution of door gifts and refreshments. Participants appreciated the initiative for creating a safe and informative platform to address sensitive yet important topics that are often misunderstood. This initiative reflects AIIC’s continuous commitment to supporting the spiritual growth of the MMU community, particularly women, through accessible and relevant Islamic learning sessions.
