Students were deeply inspired by the sharing session with Ms. Faezah Binti Ahmad Fadzil, who prefers to be known as ECHENTA, a successful instant turban and instant hijab business owner behind Ilham Echenta, who rose from a low-income family to become a thriving entrepreneur. Organised by the Entrepreneurship Development Centre (EDC), the session was part of the recent I3 Entrepreneur Series held on 26 June 2025 at the FOM Theatre, Cyberjaya campus.
A graduate of the Faculty of Creative Multimedia (FCM) with a Bachelor of Multimedia (Honours) degree in 2007, she shared how her journey began with limited resources and no business connections. Raised in a low-income family, she learned the value of hard work early on, often helping her mother sew clothes to support their household. Despite financial and social challenges, her passion for fashion and determination to change her life pushed her forward. She started small by selling men’s t-shirts and reinvested every cent to grow her brand.
Today, she runs a thriving instant turban and instant hijab business known for its quality, modest fashion, and commitment to empowering women through her designs and entrepreneurship initiatives. She left the audience with an inspiring quote:
“No matter how small your efforts may seem, keep going because you never know if that small effort one day will lead you to success.” This session was a valuable inspiration for students to pursue their dreams despite any obstacles.
