MMU hosted a vibrant study tour for students and lecturers from the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Silpakorn University (SU), Thailand from 7 until 11 July 2025. The visit aimed to foster cross-cultural understanding, enhance student mobility, and strengthen academic ties between the two institutions.
The programme featured academic workshops, cultural activities, and campus engagement sessions. Highlights included hands-on creative workshops, traditional martial arts and singing performances, and traditional games and environmental sustainability activities (contributing to SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production) with the Creative Multimedia Club (CMC) students. The participants also visited cultural and religious landmarks in Kuala Lumpur, offering them insights into Malaysia’s multicultural landscape.
The visit was jointly coordinated by the International Collaboration and Engagement (ICE) office and the Faculty of Creative Multimedia (FCM). SU students expressed their appreciation for the warm hospitality and meaningful experiences, while MMU staff and students enjoyed the opportunity to build international friendships.
Asst. Prof. Dr. Waralak Vongdoiwang Siricharoen, representing SU, shared that the visit provided valuable exposure for the students and helped them develop a deeper appreciation for international collaboration, creativity, and cultural exchange. This programme marks another step in fostering deeper collaboration, student mobility, and people-to-people ties between MMU and Thai institutions.
