Dr. Low Jing Hong, an academic staff member from the Faculty of Management (FOM), participated in the Microsoft 365 Copilot Prompt-a-thon Workshop held at Microsoft Malaysia (Sdn Bhd) in June 2025. During the event, Dr. Low presented an innovative generative AI app idea titled “Revolutionizing Assignment Evaluation with AI.” The concept aimed to streamline academic assessment by automating processes such as assignment submission, rubric-based grading, and mark justification using AI technologies. This proposal received strong recognition and was awarded second prize in the competition segment of the workshop.
The workshop was attended by leaders, faculty members, and IT administrators from private universities across Malaysia. It enabled participants to explore how generative AI can enhance productivity in higher education. Attendees were also introduced to the GSCE framework (Goal, Context, Source, and Expectation), a structured approach to prompt engineering. This framework is designed to help educators generate effective and meaningful prompts for Microsoft 365 Copilot, thereby empowering smarter teaching, learning, and administrative processes.
The event featured interactive presentations, collaborative prompt design activities, and networking opportunities. Participants who contributed outstanding ideas were recognised with exclusive Microsoft Edu merchandise.
