Eighty-two postgraduate students from Universitas Hamzanwadi, Lombok Timur, visited the MMU Cyberjaya campus for a knowledge exchange seminar on postgraduate studies and the higher education landscapes of Malaysia and Indonesia on 3 July 2025. The delegation, led by Vice Rector III Dr. H. Musifuddin, was received by Dr. Thong Li Wah, Deputy Director of International Collaboration and Engagement, and Dr. Chong Choy Yoke, Deputy Dean of the Institute of Postgraduate Studies.
This meaningful cross-cultural academic engagement underscored both institutions’ commitment to internationalisation and paved the way for future virtual collaborations with Hamzanwadi lecturers involving their students. Dr. Musifuddin described the programme as a concrete example of international collaboration and commended the Hamzanwadi postgraduate team for organising the visit successfully.
Throughout the seminar, participants exchanged insights on postgraduate pathways, research opportunities, and digital learning. Both institutions agreed to explore future joint research initiatives, virtual guest lectures, and reciprocal student exchanges to strengthen academic cooperation between Malaysia and Indonesia.
With this inaugural visit, MMU reinforces its role as a regional hub for postgraduate engagement while supporting Universitas Hamzanwadi’s efforts to expand its international reach and global academic exposure.
