MMU took part in GLOW 2025 (Global Learning Week), which was held at Telkom University, Indonesia, from 7 to 18 July 2025. Representing MMU was Dr. Low Jing Hong from the Faculty of Management (FOM), who was invited as one of the distinguished visiting academicians for the programme.

This two-week international academic programme brought together students and scholars from around the world to explore current trends, interdisciplinary topics, and diverse global perspectives through engaging lectures, collaborative research activities, and cultural exchange sessions.

As part of the programme, Dr. Low conducted a series of insightful sessions on “Introduction to Branding” for students from the School of Visual Communication Design and the School of Economics and Business. He encouraged students to think critically about brand identity, architecture, and communication in today’s fast-evolving business landscape. His sessions, which effectively blended theoretical concepts with real-world application, were well received by both students and faculty members.

A highlight of the event was when Dr. Low was given the honour of delivering the thank-you speech on behalf of all visiting academicians during the opening ceremony. In his speech, he conveyed heartfelt appreciation for the warm hospitality and enriching academic experience extended by Telkom University.

With over 260 international class students, 52 inbound foreign students, and 14 co-lecturers taking part, GLOW 2025 was more than just an academic initiative, it was a meaningful celebration of global collaboration. Beyond offering academic credits, the programme emphasised the importance of cultural understanding and long-term educational partnerships.

Dr. Low’s participation not only enriched the learning experience of attendees but also further strengthened MMU’s international footprint, showcasing the university’s commitment to fostering global academic connections.
