Following the positive impact of its earlier Knowledge Transfer Programme (KTP), the Faculty of Management (FOM) returned to Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Cyberjaya for a second round of environmental engagement with secondary school students. This session welcomed around 100 students from various year groups, with the strong support of five school teachers on 2 July 2025.

The workshop focused on creative, hands-on learning where students took part in handcrafted activities using recycled and repurposed materials. Through this activity, students explored the values of sustainability and environmental responsibility, guided by the 5R principles: Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Repair, and Recycle. The session aimed to nurture both awareness and practical understanding of green habits in a fun and meaningful way.

Facilitated by the same committed team—Professor Dr. Chong Chin Wei (Project Leader), Dr. Tim Tan Chi Hau, Alvis Chan Man Seong, Noor Shahaliza Bt Othman, Nurul Atiah Bt Mohd Zin, Fatin Zaida Bt Zaidi, and Nor Samsuhada Ahmad, the workshop concluded with a judging session to recognise the students’ creative outputs. A total of 16 winners were selected based on the originality and environmental value of their work, celebrating their innovation and effort.

This event forms part of the faculty’s ongoing CSR initiative and reflects MMU’s broader commitment to cultivating environmental consciousness among the younger generation. The success of this programme once again illustrates how meaningful impact can be achieved through thoughtful collaboration between academia and schools.
