FET Honours Academic Excellence and Peer Support

The Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FET) held its Dean’s List & Peer Tutor Appreciation Ceremony in June 2025, recognising the outstanding academic achievements and valuable peer contributions of its students.

The event honoured outstanding students from the Diploma, Foundation, and Degree programmes who earned a place on the Dean’s List for their exceptional performance in the recent academic session. Certificates of achievement were presented by the Dean of FET, Assoc. Prof. Ir. Dr. Jerry Ng Poh Kiat, to students who demonstrated exceptional academic performance and commitment throughout the trimester.

In addition to celebrating academic excellence, the ceremony also recognised the contributions of Peer Tutors—students who voluntarily supported their peers through academic guidance and mentoring. Tokens of appreciation were presented to each Peer Tutor in recognition of their time, commitment, and service to the student community. Assoc. Prof. Ir. Dr. Jerry Ng Poh Kiat commended the award recipients for their hard work and highlighted the importance of academic collaboration and mutual support among students.

The ceremony provided a meaningful opportunity for students and faculty to come together, connect, and celebrate the shared values of excellence and service that define the faculty.
