TTO Conducts Copyright Workshops at Cyberjaya and Melaka Campuses

The Technology Transfer Office (TTO) successfully conducted a series of Copyright Workshops at both MMU campuses — Cyberjaya on 14 May 2025 and Melaka on 26 May 2025. These workshops aimed to enhance awareness and understanding of copyright protection among the university’s academic and student communities.

Delivered by Mr. Mohd Khairulamin bin Sulaiman, Head of the Intellectual Property Department at PRO IP Sdn. Bhd., the sessions provided participants with practical insights into the fundamentals of copyright. Topics covered included the scope of copyright protection, common misconceptions, typical pitfalls in safeguarding research and creative outputs, a step-by-step guide on MMU’s copyright disclosure and application process, as well as personalised support through one-on-one IP Clinics.

The workshops were attended by staff and students from various faculties, and participants benefited from hands-on engagement and tailored advice. The audience responded with positive feedback and active participation throughout the programme. The organiser looks forward to continuing its role in supporting MMU’s innovation and intellectual property initiatives.
