An outreach effort through the MMU Beamer ‘Balik Kampung’ initiative, featuring MMU leaders, was successfully carried out at two schools — Kolej Sultan Abdul Hamid in Alor Setar, Kedah, and Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Agama (P) AlMashoor in George Town, Penang on 23 and 24 June 2025, respectively.

At Kolej Sultan Abdul Hamid, the session featured Ts. Shahfeeq Jibin, Dean of the Faculty of Cinematic Arts (FCA) and a proud alumnus of the school. During his talk titled “What Comes After SPM – Careers of the Future”, he shared his personal journey from school to professional life, offering insights into career opportunities and the value of creative industries.

The following day at SMKA (P) AlMashoor, Puan Nor A’dni Ismail, Vice President of Finance and Venture at MMU and an alumna of the school, took the stage. She spoke about her professional experiences and emphasised the importance of planning ahead after SPM. Her session encouraged students to consider higher education as a gateway to building a meaningful career.

The MMU Beamer truck was stationed at both schools, offering students hands-on activities and interactive information about MMU’s academic programmes. Its presence added a lively and engaging touch to the programme, making the experience both fun and informative.

Spearheaded by the Corporate Communication Department (CCD), the MMU BEAMER ‘Balik Kampung’ initiative is part of the university’s broader efforts to bridge the gap between secondary and tertiary education. By reconnecting with alumni and sharing real-world experiences, MMU remains committed to guiding students in making informed decisions about their future, while strengthening its connection with the community.
