Four academic staff from the Faculty of Management (FOM) presented their pioneering research and insights to an international audience comprising delegates from over 20 countries at the 12th Go Green Summit 2025, held at Corus Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, from 22 to 23 May 2025.
Assistant Professor Ts. Dr. Anusuyah Subbarao captivated the audience with her presentation on “Smart City Technologies: IoT, AI, and Data-Driven Sustainability,” unveiling transformative digital strategies for addressing complex urban environmental challenges. Her session underscored the vital role of intelligent systems in creating eco-efficient cities.
Associate Professor Dr. Nasreen Khan inspired participants with her dynamic session on “Empowering Youth in Climate Action: Education and Engagement.” She emphasised how education and community engagement can empower the next generation of climate leaders, creating a ripple effect in global sustainability efforts.
Adding a critical legal perspective to the conversation, Assistant Professor Dr. Shereen Khan delivered a compelling talk titled “Governing Green Intelligence: International Legal Framework for AI in Sustainable Technologies.” Her insights focused on the urgent need for global regulatory frameworks to guide the ethical integration of AI in green innovation.
Crowning FOM’s contributions, Assistant Professor Dr. Olivia Tan Swee Leng served as a keynote speaker with her address titled “The Green Frontier: Best Practices in Sustainable Product Launch and Secure Technology Transfer.” Her presentation provided actionable strategies for businesses and institutions seeking to scale sustainable innovation responsibly.
The summit served as a powerful platform for international collaboration, fostering meaningful dialogue on sustainable technologies, green policies, and climate action. Attendees engaged in cross-border networking aimed at forging partnerships to collectively tackle the climate crisis.
