On 11 June 2025, students from the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence and Engineering (FAIE), attended an inspiring talk by Ir. Azizi A Hadi as part of the FAIE Adjunct Professor Talk Series. Organised by the Industrial Linkage Committee, the session titled “Student Today, Leader Tomorrow: Navigating the Path to the Top” focused on nurturing leadership qualities among engineering students from the early stages of their academic journey.
Ir. Azizi shared insights from his professional journey, emphasising that future engineers must go beyond technical knowledge by developing core competencies such as communication, teamwork, empathy, and ethical decision-making. In today’s fast-evolving industry landscape, he highlighted the importance of adaptability and the ability to lead in multidisciplinary and AI-integrated environments.
He also encouraged students to actively participate in MMU’s various platforms including technical clubs, competitions, and innovation showcases as essential avenues to build both confidence and competence. These experiences, he noted, play a crucial role in shaping students into industry-ready engineers with a proactive mindset.
The session concluded with a lively Q&A, where students engaged in meaningful discussions on mentorship, goal setting, and navigating career choices. The talk left a strong impression on attendees and reflected FAIE’s ongoing commitment to producing well-rounded, leadership-ready graduates.
