Let us extend our congratulations to the M3 Navigator team for their outstanding performance at the MazeCraze 2025 competition held on 27 April 2025 at Universiti Malaya (UM). The team, comprising Lim Zing and Koh Ming from the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence (FAIE) and Lee Wei Ken, Wong Zhi Wen, and Lee Pei Zhe from UM, earned the Best Design Award during the competition.

In addition to this remarkable achievement, M3 Navigator also emerged as one of the Top 4 Finalists among 18 highly competitive teams from other education institutions including Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM), and Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM).

MazeCraze 2025 is a highly anticipated annual robotics competition that challenges participants to design and develop intelligent robots capable of autonomously navigating intricate mazes. The competition emphasises not only innovation and problem-solving but also collaboration and the real-world application of engineering and AI principles.

The award-winning robot developed by M3 Navigator showcased exceptional technical integration, incorporating nine advanced sensors that enabled it to execute a range of functions such as obstacle avoidance, color detection, and strategic navigation through a dynamic maze environment. Their design stood out for its application of sophisticated algorithms, strong system architecture, and seamless execution which demonstrated both creativity and engineering excellence.

Well done!
