On 28 May 2025, MMU welcomed a delegation from Guangxi Vocational & Technical College (GVTC), People’s Republic of China, to its Cyberjaya campus. The group was led by Prof. Zhao Hongmei, Dean of the School of International Education, and warmly received by MMU President, Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, who provided an overview of MMU’s achievements and vision.

The visit featured meaningful discussions on potential academic progression pathways, staff and student mobility, and exchange programmes. An interesting highlight was GVTC’s sharing of their fully integrated tea production infrastructure, covering plantation, harvesting, processing, packaging, and sales. This sparked interest in possible collaboration in areas such as agritech, design, and innovation.

Also present were Prof. Ir. Dr. Wong Hin Yong (VP of Academic and Innovative Learning), Prof. Ir. Dr. Zulfadzli Yusoff (VP of Market Exploration, Engagement & Touchpoint), Mr. Zambri Pawanchik (VP of Strategic Marketing, Admission & Recruitment), faculty deans, and other MMU officers. The visit marked a valuable step in strengthening MMU’s international partnerships.
